Very happy to have stayed. Well appointed, and genuinely nice people.

While in Labrador, we didnt stay at the Florian but did try their dining room. The dining room view is spectacular looking to the landscape with big windows all around. You could come here and just get lost looking out. The service was okay but for fine dining, there were finer points lacking like removing the unseated place settings. The menu was a little ratty looking as if it was wet at one point and the theme isnt consistent with the boutique/fancy feel of the website or otherwise. Their overall attention to detail in the dining room was lacking though all staff were polite and courteous. The food was good but again, for a fine dining experience, not quite executed as well as it should have been. That said though the food was acceptable and by no means sub-par just that for a supposed higher end dining experience, it was not up to snuff. The options were good though and we didnt have any issues. Food was hot and served in a timely manner. I just think there is lots of space for improvement to be a really high end place.

Posting for my In-Laws Mr. and Mrs. Pisani. Our stay at the Florian was a perfect last stop on our adventure across the Trans Labrador. There arent many places where you can watch icebergs from the dining room while enjoying a masterfully prepared dinner. From the room accommodations to the entire facility, all were inviting and well appointed. Hospitality, well we were made to feel welcome the moment we arrived. The whole experience exceeded our expectations.

Not only is it a new very new motel ( 2 years open). The owners and their parents are the nicest ,down to earth people we have ever met. Generally when we check into a motel, we get a person that works there and that is how we interact. Not so at the Florian Hotel. Angela is the Hotel host as well as the chef. She and her brother Shane and their parents treat us like we are the most important people that they have ever met. The hotel is small, only 21 rooms. They built it .Yes they built it on purpose to be small and intimate. They actually get to know whoever stays there and or visit the onsite restaurant. When I mentioned a small problem, Angela replied that she was already aware of the situation and is already working to correct it. The rooms themselves were top notch. Very high quality materials and workmanship. The heat/ cooling controls are obviously high quality. There is even a separate control for the washroom! Did I say that they are friendly and treated us ly family? Words cannot express how much we enjoyed staying there and visiting with the whole family. If we ever get back there, we will obviously stay there again.

Excellent food. Very clean and reasonably priced
